SKILL DEVELOPMENT WITH DANA TYRELL

DMHA is excited to once again offer on-ice skill development sessions throughout the 2025–2026 hockey season. These sessions will be led by personal hockey trainer Dana Tyrell at the Didsbury Memorial Complex.

Sessions will take place on PD Fridays and will be organized by age group, with programming tailored for each of the following divisions: U7, U9, U11, and U13.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT REGISTRATION

Registration for the On-Ice Skill Development Program will be open to DMHA members only from May 15 to June 15 at a rate of $250.00 per player. After June 15, any remaining spots will be made available to players from outside associations at a cost of $300.00 per player.

The program includes ten 1-hour sessions with personal hockey trainer Dana Tyrell at the Didsbury Memorial Complex.

Each age group (U7, U9, U11, and U13) is limited to 20 skaters and 2 goalies, with registration available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note that registration is for all ten sessions, no individual dates will be offered.

About the Personal Hockey Trainer

Dana Tyrell is a former Airdrie Minor Hockey player and was drafted by the Prince George Cougars in the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2004. THAT led to him being 47th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2007 NHL Draft. Tyrell went on to have a successful five-season career in the NHL. Additionally, he represented Canada in the World Junior Championships in 2009.
